Roy Moore was born and raised in Miami, Florida. After receiving the call of God on his life in 1995, he began to pursue his education in Biblical Studies. He began preaching in 2000 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Miami FL. In 2001 he obtained an Associate degree in Biblical Studies from Logos Bible College. Later in 2002, he obtained a Bachelor degree in Biblical Studies also from Logos Bible College. He later relocated to Georgia in 2006 and started the process of ordained ministry in the United Methodist Church.
Roy served at Union Chapel UMC in Marietta, GA for a term of seven years as the youth minister and president of the United Methodist Men while assisting the pastor in all forms of pastoral duties. He obtained a diploma of completion for License for Pastoral Ministry in 2010 while serving at Union Chapel. He also received his Associate of Arts in Biblical Ministries and Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Ministries from Point University while serving there. He began to pursue his master’s degree and was appointed as pastor of Wesley Chapel UMC – Elberton, GA in 2013. He served there faithfully for four years. He currently serves as pastor of St. Luke UMC – Mableton, GA for seven years and has been assigned a second charge at Leland Qwest UMC – Mableton, GA presently for three years. He completed his Master of Divinity at ITC (Gammon Theological Seminary) Atlanta, GA in May 2020.
Pastor Moore has a passion for local and global mission and evangelism. He served as a volunteer for MUST Ministries for a period of six years teaching bible study at the Elizabeth Inn Shelter. In addition, he traveled to Honduras in 2017 as a volunteer to participate in serving at Emmanuel Orphanage where he led morning devotional, taught bible study, and served over 400 children. He is no stranger to the homeless and marginalized but seeks to share God’s love through acts of kindness and prayer to those whom he encounters. He also served as a spiritual leader at the Athens Area Walk to Emmaus.
Roy has a unique passion for the needs of others and a very sincere motivation to save the lost. His motivation helps people to live out their faith through the encouragement of God’s Word. He is married to and supported by his loving wife, Constance Moore, and their children. His vision is to share the good news of the gospel to all, and to see the least, the lost, and the left out restored back into fellowship with God.
